ABBEY ROAD REVISITED (1969 - The Beatles, Arr. D. Costa)
The final recorded album by the Beatles is considered by many to be their greatest work. Released in September of 1969, Abbey Road was the Beatles’ best-selling album in the US with sales of about five million. By 1992, Abbey Road had sold nine million copies. The album incorporates genres such as blues, classical, rock and pop and is also notable for having a long medley of songs on side two. Our medley features songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney and two of George Harrison’s best, Here Comes the Sun and Something. Dennis plays a steel-string guitar and Bruce plays both alto and soprano sax and flute. Selections include: Here Comes the Sun, Sun King, Oh! Darling, Golden Slumbers, Something and Her Majesty.
